Datacomm Cables was in need of a major upgrade to their system of ecommerce that would give them higher visibility on search engines, more administrative options, a more advanced/stable framework, and of course, a better customer experience. The solution that we have developed for them (
Cables.com) has more than covered these requirements, along with many others. Datacomm has also chosen to host with us, which not only gives their site quick and snappy page loads, but also provides them the piece of mind of knowing that they are avoiding issues and confusion that often arise from having to coordinate with multiple service providers to complete what would otherwise be fairly simple tasks.
In addition to getting the Cables.com site upgraded and modernized, we also built a Custom Cable Configurator application for them, which allows customers to build custom cable assemblies, get the pricing, shipping/tax cost (where applicable), and add the customized cable to their carts. This provides customers a means of pricing the custom service without having to reach out (and wait) for a quote. It also saves Datacomm's staff a lot of phone time, as the customer is able to take care of themselves without staff intervention.
