Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic, and creative thinking Sales and Marketing Executive to join our growing company.

 

The role is ideal for a proactive, driven individual, looking to make their mark on new and interesting projects in order to build a strong sales and marketing function and actively contribute to the success of the business. Predominately this position will be office centered but requires flexibility to visit clients or events as and when necessary.

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of marketing, a successful sales track record and have excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills.

You will be working with, and reporting to, the Managing Director taking responsibility for the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy and the development of new initiatives going forward.

Your role will be to:

  • develop and implement agreed marketing plans
  • initiate business development calls, prospect, canvass and meet new clients
  • think creatively, identify and exploit new business opportunities
  • exploit the full potential of web based marketing
  • develop and manage the needs of existing clients
  • develop and deliver targeted direct marketing campaigns
  • acquire an operational understanding of the products and the marketplace in which they are to be used
  • build, capture and maintain a database of contacts and marketing leads
  • establish systems to effectively monitor and evaluate marketing campaigns and sales conversion  rates.
  • visit existing and potential new clients across the UK

ESSENTIAL requirements:

  • at least 2 years experience of sales and marketing
  • a good understanding of marketing on the web, including on-line media, news releases, blogs, viral marketing etc
  • confident telephone and presentation skills
  • excellent social and interpersonal skills
  • strong MS Office and Internet skills
  • a high standard of literacy skills
  • a flair for creating copywriting for the web, email newsletters and high quality persuasive promotional material
  • ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • proven customer-facing skills with excellent ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • experience of closing new business.
  • strong organizational and project management with effective time management skills
  • a full UK driving license

DESIRABLE requirements:

  • qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • recognized marketing qualification
  • experience of the public sector tendering process
  • B2B sales experience, preferably within a new business focused role
